Caries Diagnostics: The “New Era”

For over 100 years, the standard of care for caries diagnostics has been the explorer and x-rays. Let’s all agree that if you are utilizing these as your solo tools for caries diagnostics, you are simply guessing way to much when to pick up the drill and equally, you are so limiting your patients on what truly you could offer them, both in prevention and early minimally invasive treatment. This 90-minute course will update the attendee on the some of the latest in caries and crack diagnostics, and ultimately guide them into new protocols, techniques and materials. This course will challenge every attendee’s thought process and with challenge comes change.

The Role for 3D Imaging in Dentistry – Beyond Implants to Sleep Apnea

This lecture will provide you with information for the numerous uses and benefits of 3D imaging for general dentistry, craniofacial pain, TMD, and dental sleep medicine. Dr. Klauer will explain the basic elements of CBCT and things you need to know as you enter into the 3D imaging world. He will discussing selecting field of view, radiation exposure, different machines on the market, and literature supporting it’s use in dentistry. CBCT is here to stay and dentists need to be well versed in its benefits and uses in practice.
